Change Leadership Resources

When your strategic initiative must succeed

About Change Leadership Resources, LLC

We are living in unprecedented times.  Change is the only constant.  You are committed to your organization, your people and your customers, but now you are faced with challenges you never imagined.  You are about to launch (or perhaps already have launched) a strategic initiative that will change how your business operates.  It must succeed - everything is riding on it.

So, you are thinking ahead…
·  You want to do everything in your power to ensure the success of your strategic initiative
·  You want to demonstrate your commitment to your team in this trying time, and even invest in the development of their leadership abilities
·  You want to be certain of the quality of your strategic plan before rolling out, to minimize risk.

We need to talk...

Change Leadership Resources specializes in providing teams like yours with the proven processes, tools and support that the big consulting firms use to help their clients, at a fraction of their costs, through a network of small business partners based in Southeast Wisconsin.  You will benefit by dealing directly with business owners who are focused exclusively on your success, not with consultants arbitrarily assigned to your project.

Bob Von Der Linn is the founder and principal consultant for Change Leadership Resources.  He will apply to your challenge the insight he has gained from over twenty-five years experience practicing human performance technology and organizational development.
Bob spent the first seven years of his career at Grumman Aerospace where a state-of-the-art (c 1983!) interactive three-dimensional maintenance training simulator project gave Bob the training & development bug.  He turned his back on engineering to begin graduate school for ISD and never looked back.  After stints with Brookhaven National Laboratories and Symbol Technologies, Bob joined GE in 1997 as part of the development team for the first enterprise-wide elearning application at GE - the Six Sigma Quality Coach.[1]  He completed Black Belt Training and went on to teach and coach Six Sigma for GE Capital.  While Bob was on the staff at GE’s Crotonville Leadership Development center, he learned GE’s Change Acceleration Process from Steve Kerr - GE’s Chief Learning Officer under Jack Welch, and one of the creators of the CAP toolset.

Bob has since worked with senior leadership teams from many organizations, facilitating teams through a broad variety of strategic initiatives, including:
  • GE Corporate – Adoption of eLearning
  • GE Capital – Acquisition/Merger Integration
  • GE Capital IT – New business support model and redeployment of resources
  • GE Capital – Lean Six Sigma project implementation and control plan
  • Frontier Airlines – Conversion to single aircraft–type fleet
  • Eastman Kodak – Product technology conversion
  • Malev Airlines – Transition to privatized from nationalized business model
  • Qantas Airlines – Transition to self-directed maintenance work-teams
  • And many others including CompUSA, Entergy, American Infrastructure, Canadian National Railroad and the United Way.
Before parting ways with GE in 2009, Bob relocated to the Milwaukee area to create the training function in GE Healthcare Financial Services (HFS).  Within 2 years, Milwaukee Magazine and MRA recognized HFS - specifically for its employee training - as a “Best Place to Work in Southeast Wisconsin” (see: Milwaukee Magazine, May 2008).

Bob received his Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from New York Institute of Technology in 1990, his Master of Science degree in Management of Technological Systems from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 1993, and a New York State Certificate in Labor-Management Relations from the Harriman School at SUNY Stony Brook in 1994.

Bob is an active member of both the Southeast Wisconsin chapter of the American Society for Training & Development - where he is currently co-chair of the Programming Committee - and the Metro Milwaukee chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management Performance & Development special interest group.   He is also a national member of ASTD and the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).
